Because I lost my board at the comp, I used my directional for my session two days ago. Too bad it was one of the flattest days in Cannon Rocks though.. I got some good waves anyway but I struggled a bit on the very gusty west wind that was blowing. At one stage it was so bad that my kite crashed and I couldn’t get it back up. The current was quite strong and I had to release my kite because it was dragging me into the nearby ship wreck. When I got back on the beach I finally managed to loosen my lines (which were now tangled on the wreck) and I got my kite out of the water. Although I had to wait until low tide to retrieve my bar. When it was like half-low tide the 3 other local kiters and I climbed on the wreck and tried to get my lines loose.
Well I didn’t actually climb on the wreck myself because I’m the lady in this equation..

I found a metal spring stuck on my lines
Thanks to Ced, Hudson and my dad for getting my bar – although you were nowhere to be seen when it came to untangling my lines..!
