ASSOCIATION (CRRA)

Alexandria Water Augmentation Project.  Installation of the new reverse osmoses plant has been completed.  Handing over of the project to the Ndlambe Municipality is subjected to final functional tests.  Although two boreholes are still awaiting Eskom connection, final handing over of the project should not be influenced.

Cannon Rocks Info Group.

In an effort to stay on trend and provide current assistance to both old and new CRRA members alike the CRRA committee is excited to let you know about CRRA’s new WhatsApp namely Cannon Rocks Info group.  All paid up CRRA members will be automatically subscribed and in line with POPIA act, it is request that if you’re not interested in being a member of the group, please do remove yourself, it is totally understandable.

If you stay on, the committee assume you’re happy to be a member of the Cannon Rocks Info WhatsApp group managed by the Ratepayers Association.  Strict rules and discipline will be maintained in the group.  Please be aware that it is an info platform and therefore, no discussions on the group are possible.  Constructive comments are encouraged and members are requested to forward such comment to any of the committee members.

The Cannon Rocks Info group does not replace the monthly newsletters that are posted monthly on the Website.

Municipal Budget.  During a Ndlambe Ratepayers Form (NRF) meeting on 13 April 2022, concerns that were raised regarding municipal rates, the 2022/2023 budget and reports by the Auditor General (AG), give effect to the necessity for a NRF workshop to discuss the proposed municipal rates, 2022/2023 budget and reported items by the Audit General (AG).  A workshop was arranged for 26 April 2022 at Port Alfred.  The concept municipal budget for the 2022/2023 financial year (FY) was discussed.  Various budget items were questioned.  A list of budget items was compiled and forwarded to the financial officer for comment.  A meeting is scheduled with members of the NRF and Ndlambe Municipal senior officials to discuss the concerns raised by the NRF on 17 May 2022.
